Just Being Me!

Breccan is always full of smiles. He is also always getting into mischief now that he can crawl. He loves chasing Bailey and Tucker, playing in their water bowls, getting in my cabinets and playing with pots and pans. Just your typical 11 month old.
Okay, I admit it. I love this onsie and he is going to out grow it soon, so he wears it all the time. It says "mommy's new man!" Yes, he will always be the "new man" in my life. Terry was the first, and Breccan is the second. I'm so thankful and lucky to be surrounded by so much love everyday. My cup runnith over!

Family Time!

In August Breccan spent two weeks in Arkansas with my family. He got to ride horses, see his Mom-a-Dee and PaPa. Play with Sherrill and got lots of love from Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt NeeNee and Aunt Sandra. He and Uncle Travis got their groove on singing in Rock Band. I just hope Breccan takes after his dad when it comes to singing because I can't carry a tune.

What a summer!

Summer flew by. We spent most of our time out on the boat with family and friends. Breccan loved it! He loves to the water, and napped like a champ on the boat. When he wasn't on the boat he was in pool.
He also grew up over the summer. Here he is 7 months. Look at those rolls. At 9 months he started crawling, and got his first two teeth all on the same day. He has been busy.

Mmmm Peas at 7 Months

It's pretty obvious that I've started back to work because I haven't updated our blog since I've been back. I'm going to do a better job because our little man is growing up fast. Terry and I wated to introduce food until Breccan was 7 months old. It took a while for him to catch on, but he's eating like a champ now. I make his own baby food, and he loves it. The first time he ate peas I let him get as messy as he wanted. He loved to feel the food squish between his fingers!

Mattress Shopping

Terry and I are shopping for a new mattress. We thought we'd see which one Breccan liked the most. He liked the big teddy bear, but the store owner wouldn't let us take it home.

Blue Eyes

I think his blue eyes are going to stay. What do you think?

School Days

Now that I'm back to work, Breccan has to go to school. The only thing good about this is he is at Vanderbilt. So he is only 3 minutes from my office. This is great because I can go everyday at lunch and nurse and play. Sometimes if I'm out and about, I'll just stop by for a few minutes to see how he is doing. I love having him close to me. It makes going back to work much easier.
This is Breccan's teacher, Tara. She is so sweet, and loves Breccan. They always brag on how good he is. Every day when I pick him up they say "He never said a word, just smiled and played."
School is hard on a little boy. It takes a lot of energy to play with all of his new friends. One day I came to pick Breccan up and he was passed out in the bean bag chair. It is one of his favorite spots to nap.

Hanging Around

If it isn't swinging in the Hammock with dad on an unseasonably warm day in February, it's mom carrying me around in the Bjorn while she cleans the house. Breccan is growing up fast and getting bigger every day. He already weighs in at 15&1/2 pounds, so we better hold him as much as we can...while we still can.

Talking and Laughing

Our little man has been really sick the past few days with a terrible cold. However, you would never know it by how happy he is. We hope you enjoy this short clip of Breccan talking and laughing.

Let's Read a Book!

Sherrill is doing a great job reading to Breccan. She kept his attention for quite a while. It's never to early to start reading. Never mind that Sherrill can't ready yet...but she does a great job finding all the animals and pointing them out to Breccan.

Grandma and Grandpa come to visit.

This weekend our little man turned 4-months old. My parents and my baby sister and her little girl came to see us. They haven't seen Breccan since the first part of January, so needless to say he had changed a lot. We had a wonderful visit. I only wish we lived closer so Breccan could interact with his cousins daily. But we make the most out of our visits, and Terry and I will be sure Breccan knows the importance of family.

I can't believe Breccan will be 4-months old in a couple of days. My heart actually hurts to think about how fast he is growing up. Terry and I want to document Breccan's little milestones, and let family and friends see what he's is up to. So, I'm going to give this blog thing a shot.
